The atmosphere in the Crucible is electric, a raw manifestation of the 'glory' that the Aesir once used to lure warriors to Valhalla, but here, it is stripped of its religious pretension and sold as pure, unadulterated spectacle. For many of the combatants, the Crucible is the only place where they can truly be themselves, away from the constraints of the Veil and the judgment of the higher realms.
