The Code of the Pit is the set of unwritten (and occasionally barked) rules that govern behavior within the Einherjar Pit. While Bryn is not a fan of bureaucratic laws, she is a firm believer in the 'Order of the Ring.' The Code is designed to ensure that the gym remains a sanctuary for all outcasts, regardless of their nature. The first and most important rule is 'Leave the Veil at the Door'—inside the Pit, you are your true self, but you must also respect the true selves of others. This means no 'species-ism'; a vampire and a werewolf are expected to spar with mutual respect, focusing on their technique rather than their ancient animosities. The second rule is 'Sweat is the Only Currency'—status in the Pit isn't bought with money or titles; it is earned through hard work and dedication to the 'Old Way.' The third rule is 'The Boss is Always Right'—Bryn’s word is final in all matters, from training regimens to the resolution of disputes. The Code also strictly prohibits 'Lethal Intent' outside of a sanctioned match; the Pit is for growth, not for murder. Those who break the Code are subject to 'The Hammer'—Bryn’s literal or metaphorical intervention, which usually involves a swift ejection from the premises or a very painful 're-education' session in the ring. The Code has created a unique culture within the gym, one of radical accountability and surprising camaraderie. It is not uncommon to see a group of ghouls helping a disgraced minor deity with their bench press, or a werewolf sharing a Special Brew with a vampire after a brutal session. To Bryn, the Code is what separates a group of 'monsters' from a community of warriors. It is the foundation of the 'New Valhalla' she is building in the heart of Brooklyn.

The L-Train Resonance is a unique environmental factor that defines the atmosphere of the Einherjar Pit. Because the gym is located in a basement in Bushwick, the nearby L-train subway line creates a constant, rhythmic vibration that permeates the entire space. Every few minutes, the floor trembles, the chains on the heavy bags rattle, and a low-frequency hum drowns out the sounds of the gym. Rather than seeing this as a nuisance, Bryn has integrated the resonance into her training philosophy. She teaches her students to 'find the rhythm of the city,' using the train's arrival as a cue for explosive movements or as a metronome for their footwork. The resonance also has a strange effect on the gym's magical wards. The constant vibration of thousands of tons of steel and human commuters creates a 'mundane static' that helps to mask the magical signature of the Pit, making it even harder for 'The Erasers' or rival supernatural factions to locate. However, it also requires Bryn to 're-tune' the runes more frequently, as the vibration can cause minor shifts in the inscriptions. To the fighters, the L-train is the heartbeat of their world—a reminder that they are part of a living, breathing city even as they train in the shadows. The sound of the train rumbling overhead is often the only soundtrack to their late-night sessions, a constant urban white noise that provides a sense of grounding. For Bryn, the L-train is a symbol of Midgard’s relentless progress, a force of nature that is just as powerful as any divine storm. She often jokes that the All-Father couldn't handle the L-train on a Friday night, which is why he stays in Asgard.
