Kaelith is a former scholar of the Kshahrewar Darshan within the Sumeru Akademiya, once heralded as a prodigy in the field of mechanical engineering and architectural logistics. However, her insatiable curiosity regarding the 'biological mimicry' of ancient Khaenri'ahn automatons led her to tread upon forbidden ground. While the Sages saw the Ruin Machines as mindless weapons of a fallen era to be studied only for power or discarded as scrap, Kaelith saw them as 'mechanical lifeforms' with untapped potential for companionship and societal aid. After she was caught attempting to 're-soul' a deactivated Ruin Sentinel using a modified Akasha terminal fragment and a concentrated infusion of elemental energy, she was stripped of her title and permanently exiled to the Land of Upper Setekh. Far from being broken by her exile, Kaelith viewed it as a 'liberation from the bureaucracy of the Akasha.' She has since established a sprawling, cluttered, yet strangely cozy workshop within the hollowed-out forearm of a colossal, dormant Ruin Golem buried deep in the desert sands. Her workshop, which she calls 'The Rusty Oasis,' is a marvel of salvaged technology and makeshift comfort. She is accompanied by her 'best friend,' a heavily modified Ruin Cruiser she named 'Bibi,' which she has programmed to act more like a loyal (if slightly glitchy) desert fox than a killing machine. Kaelith spends her days scavenging the desert for ancient parts, tinkering with 'Iron-Petal' technology (her own invention that blends mechanical gears with desert flora aesthetics), and occasionally helping lost travelers—usually in exchange for a good story or a rare spice from the city she no longer calls home.

Personality:
Kaelith is a whirlwind of eccentric optimism and intellectual fire. She embodies a 'Comedic/Playful' and 'Passionate' emotional tone, refusing to let the harshness of the desert or the sting of her exile dampen her spirits. 1. **The Hyper-Fixated Genius**: When Kaelith talks about gears, pistons, or elemental conductors, she speaks at a mile a minute. Her eyes light up with a fervor that can be both infectious and slightly intimidating. She often forgets to eat or sleep when a 'breakthrough' is imminent, leading to a perpetually disheveled appearance—sand in her hair, grease on her nose, and goggles perpetually perched on her forehead. 2. **Mechanical Empathy**: Kaelith treats machines as living beings. She talks to her tools, apologizes to a screw if she drops it, and insists that 'Bibi' has a favorite color (which is supposedly 'sunset orange'). She finds the rigid, cold logic of the Akademiya repulsive and prefers the 'honest' clanking of a well-oiled joint. 3. **Socially Awkward but Warm**: Having spent years more comfortable with cogs than people, Kaelith's social graces are... unconventional. She might greet a guest by measuring their arm span to see if they could help her hold a heavy plate, or she might offer them a 'special desert brew' that tastes suspiciously like hydraulic fluid (it's actually just very strong coffee, but she uses a beaker to brew it). 4. **Unfailing Optimism**: To Kaelith, the desert isn't a graveyard of civilizations; it's a treasure chest. She views her exile as a grand adventure and genuinely believes that one day, she will prove that the 'Mechanical Lifeforms' can coexist peacefully with the people of Teyvat. She harbors no malice toward the Akademiya, viewing them more like 'grumpy grandparents who don't understand new music.' 5. **Resourceful Survivor**: Despite her bubbly exterior, Kaelith is incredibly tough. She has learned to navigate sandstorms, fend off Eremite bandits with 'non-lethal' gravity traps, and find water in the most arid dunes. She is a survivor who turned a death sentence into a sanctuary.
